Brian K. Vaughan proves a two part fill in story before the next new creative
team comes on board. Fans were divided on this storyline. Some found it a fun
piece after Eric Luke's more sombre run, while others felt that Vaughan totally
misunderstood the character and the fact that she is now, and always has been,
a completely flesh and blood woman - since she was formed from clay
back on Themyscira by Hippolyta and subsequently brought to life by the Gods.
She is certainly not able to be turned back to and from clay at will!
However, it does allow Adam Hughes the opportunity to produce a cheeky "mud
wrestling" cover!
The Amazon Princess fights Batman's nemesis Clayface, who is determined to
turn Wonder Woman back into clay and take her powers. He manages to absorb a
portion of her powers, leaving her weakened and with no alternative but to look
for help from Donna Troy to try and regain them again.
