This piece was inspired by a scene from Eric Luke's post crisis run on the title. In issue 148 Wonder Woman is stripped of her powers by the God Cronus and hunted down by a crazed gang. The artist Yanick Paquette drew a lovely full page spread depicting Diana demonstrating her natural Amazon warrior abilities as she battles the thugs in an alley and comprehensively defeats them. Yanick also used photos submitted by long time Wonder Woman fans for the basis for many of the thugs' faces!
Here is Al's take on the same set piece, showing Diana's beauty in combat, grace, skills and above all fierceness as she battles against seemingly impossible odds to overcome her enemies!
